Congratulations to Pacxa’s very own “Team Cobra” who took home 1st place in the State’s first Hawaii Annual Code Challenge (HACC). One month ago, the Office of Enterprise Technology Services held a kickoff for approximately 220 coders and innovators who entered HACC and had to select from diverse challenges presented by state officials.
Each team was given one month to come up with a solution. Team Cobra decided to tackle homeless outreach and services and designed an end-to-end solution for assisting and improving the lives of homeless individuals. After many late nights in the office, “OHAI” was born! OHAI consists of 3 vital applications; a mobile app, a responders app, and a web app. The referral app allows users to create referrals, view and volunteer for events, read local news, and locate helpful resources. The responder’s app allows responders to quickly locate and assess referrals as well as fill out the VI-SPIDAT form on their mobile phone. Finally, the Web app provides data organization and administrative function for the applications.
Team Cobra was also selected to represent the State of Hawaii at Global Hack (https://globalhack.org/) in Saint Louis, MO on October 21-23 where they will be competing for $1 million in cash prizes.
Huge Congrats to “Team Cobra”!
